The Crayfish Episode Nine by Ken David Stewart

Episode Nine:

Jeffrey Holmes was a voracious reader. He read books from a variety of genres and especially loved reading the old, classic science fiction stories such as The Mysterious Island of Dr. Moreau by H. G. Wells. What Holmes liked best about the book was that it was now conceivable for scientists in the twenty-first century to experiment with human and animal cloning possibly resulting in hybrid species. Jeffrey Holmes thought of H. G. Wells as a prophet of future events.

Mr. Holmes thoroughly enjoyed having Caleb Jacobson as his science lab clean up helper. Not only was Caleb polite and charming, he was also very intellectual for a boy of thirteen. Caleb already possessed the academic interests of a highly educated adult. The young student spent hours at a time doing research on the desktop computer in his room. When Caleb was not educating himself on his PC, he occupied his free time by reading e-books and listening to audiobooks. The young lad shared the same fascination for the old science fiction classics that his grade seven science teacher had.2017-06-19 09.04.03

Infinite Realities Excerpt Seventeen

Episode Seventeen of Infinite Realities:

“I can’t okay you for spending the next two years as a writer Rick. My supervisor, the plan administrator would never go for it. In your rehabilitation plan he will want to see some kind of a conventional job. There’s too little money to be made in writing. Not every writer is going to have the success of a Stephen King. Most writers don’t even make enough money to cover their writing expenses,” Michael said.

“I figured you’d say that, but that’s all right. I have a Plan B,” Rick said.

“Will it provide you with a liveable income?”

“Yeah, it should.”

“Okay, tell me all about your alternate gig.”

“I’ll be a substitute teacher by day and a writer at night.”

“Now there’s a plan that’s feasible. I can work with that and I think I can sell it to the plan administrator.”

“I have another appointment to get to Rick. I’ll have to close off our meeting now. I’ll phone you to set up another appointment as soon as I get a chance to talk to my supervisor about your proposal,” Michael said as he was closing the cover on his metal briefcase.

“I’ll be looking forward to your call. It was a pleasure meeting you Michael. I’m sorry about giving you a hard time.”

“Don’t worry about it Rick. This was mild compared to the grief I get from some of my clients.”

As soon as Michael Reeves left David retrieved his tablet and was looking forward to getting back to reading The Devil’s Knot. When he picket the tablet up he heard a sound alert notifying him that he had an incoming text message. David selected the text message and began to read it.

“Hi, David. I must apologize for not introducing myself. My name is Darren Ross and I work for Infinite Realities Incorporated. I have been assigned to be your personal coach, mentor and advocate. In short, I am available twenty-four hours a day seven days a week, including holidays, to assist you with the operation of your amazing new piece of technology. In essence I am your customer support. What are you planning to do next with your tablet, David?”

David texted back:

I am going to continue reading The Devil’s Knot without any further disturbance.

Darren texted back:

That’s wonderful David. A man who loves to read. I want to greatly enhance your reading experience. I don’t want you to read about Damien Echols. I want you to be in the courtroom with Damien as he hears the judge tell him that he has been found guilty and will be sentenced to death by lethal injection. You will feel every emotion that Damien is feeling.

New Book Available in Paperback Shortly

New Book Will Be Available in Paperback Shortly:
My new book, The Wild and Hilarious World of The Roswell Gang will be available in a paperback edition shortly. My sample copy arrived yesterday evening. My wife, Martha Peters, read my play last night. Both she and I were very surprised that she liked it. I didn’t think that she would like the kind of humour in the book, but she actually laughed out loud a few times while reading it.
Martha said that she liked the book and saw it’s potential.
I also can see the potential that the book has. Most people will find the book to be both funny and entertaining. It makes for a good reading experience if you would like to escape from reality for an hour or two. For example, if you had a rough day either at work or at school, reading this play just might cheer you up. I think that a lot of middle school and high school students would also find it highly entertaining. Both middle school and high school ELA and drama/theatre teachers might like to have their students act out The Wild and Hilarious World of the Roswell Gang. Speaking as a retired teacher, I would definitely use this play(with some discretionary tweaks) with my class.
Check out the price. The Kindle version is now selling for only $1.12 as an introductory offer on Amazon. The paperback copy should also be released to the public shortly. The paperback edition also comes with a beautifully designed glossy cover.
My goal in publishing this book is to have people read it and to be greatly entertained.
Thank you for checking out my book and keep on reading!

News Flash! Ken David Stewart’s First Book Will Be Available in Paperback Shortly

News Flash! Ken David Stewart’s First Book Will Be Available in Paperback Shortly!
As my wife, Martha indicated on her facebook page yesterday evening, Amazon.com sent us a paperback edition of my first book, The Wild and Hilarious World of the Roswell Gang. The copy we received was just a sample copy. Currently, the Kindle version of The Wild and Hilarious World of the Roswell Gang is available for purchase on Amazon. The Kindle edition is presently being sold at the ridiculously low introductory price of $1.12. It’s hard to buy a cup of coffee at this low a price.
You don’t have to own a Kindle in order to read this book in the Kindle format. Once you sign up for an Amazon account you go to Amazon.com online and can download the Kindle app that will work on most computers, smart phones, Ipods and tablets. Once you have downloaded the free app you can start reading my book.
As I am an avid reader I would strongly recommend purchasing a Kindle ereader. I have purchased every new kindle reader that has been released for sale. I presently own the Kindle Fire HD. In my opinion, it is worth every penny. The Kindle Paperwhite is also a great product. If you have trouble reading small print the Kindle ereaders may be the answer to your prayers. With the Kindle you can adjust the font size for your own reading comfort. I don’t work for Amazon or receive any commissions on the sales of ereaders so this is a brief honest recommendation for the product.
